Fundamental algebraic operations and concepts, linear systems and inequalities, polynomial and rational functions, introduction to exponential and logarithmic functions.

PREREQUISITES:

Course Prerequisite: MATH 100 with an S, MATH 101 with a C or better, or a minimum ALEKS math placement score of 40%.

This course is a 6-week Winter Session course, from Nov. 26-Jan. 6. Register in myWSU beginning April 9. Choose the 2018 Fall Semester term and the Global Campus UNLESS you withdrew from the same fall Math course; then email online.registrar@wsu.edu to register. Students can enroll in only one Winter Session course, and it cannot be their first course at WSU. Electronics Students will need a scientific calculator. A basic $15-$20 scientific calculator will work perfectly fine, just make sure it has a 'Log' button. If it has that button it will have everything else you need. You will be allowed to use a calculator on some of your exams, but it must be less powerful than a TI-83. Graphing calculator not allowed.
YouGet Students need a microphone and webcam. (If you need to purchase a webcam, the anticipated cost is approximately $20 - $30.)
